Holley HP Series Carbs

Holley’s HP series carbs, in stock form, don’t do anything better than the older series carbs. Even when properly modified, the HP carbs don’t achieve significantly better airflow than comparable models of the original 4150 and Dominator series carbs with the same venturi and throttle bore sizes. The HP main body and baseplate design features can help achieve additional airflow when oversize venturis and oversize throttle bores are desired.

Holley no longer makes the older series Dominators, so finding a good one of those is getting more difficult as time goes by. Holley still makes the original 4150 series carbs, as well as the HP series 4150s, so that choice still exists.   © Norm Schenck
